It brings me great pleasure to introduce you to the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation’s new website.
Like PWA, our new website is dynamic and engaging.
You’ll notice how we’ve highlighted the four categories for our programs and services: Practical Supports, Community Access, Health & Therapeutic Care, and Dreaming & Engagement, and new program and service brand icons and colours. Organizing and communicating our programs and services in these categories was in response to our strategic plan and ongoing efforts to make a positive difference in the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS. We’re very excited to have the new updated and streamlined website reflect these efforts both visually and in content. The site is also set up to be much more interactive with live feeds from our social media accounts, and a new and improved calendar that will show the breadth of programs, services, workshops and other activities. We are eager to explore the opportunity this website provides to add additional features such as a blog and client registration which we plan to introduce in the coming months.
This website is the culmination of many months of discussion, development, revision, and production. The project would not have been possible without the generous support of Corporate Specialty Services and partners Steve Martin and Peter Rex who continually engage and invest in the LGBT community ensuring organizations like PWA can meet the needs of those we serve.
It was once said that technology does not drive change – it enables change. As you explore the new site, we ask you to take in to consideration that we don’t see it as a static fait accompli but rather a work in progress. We will continue to update content and add features that we believe will engage you and enrich your experience with PWA.
