Satellite Program Partnerships

LOFT_OGMcEwan Housing & Support Services
McEwan Housing & Support Services is a supportive housing and community support program for women and men, aged 16 and older, living with HIV or AIDS, who have mental health or substance abuse challenges or both, and are homeless or at risk of becoming so. It is the only housing program in Ontario dedicated to serving this highly vulnerable population, and one of only a very few in the world.

McEwan Housing & Support Services now has satellite offices on the 3rd floor of 200 Gerrard St. E., above PWA’s offices.

Visit the Visit the McEwan Housing & Support Services website.

Fife House
In order to most effectively support the complex housing needs of people living with HIV/AIDS, Fife House Outreach staff work onsite at PWA once a week. This provides an opportunity to do onsite intake procedures and for Fife House & PWA staff to do close case management around income support and housing issues.

Action positive VIH/sida
Action positive VIH/sida ensures that Francophones living with HIV/AIDS receive culturally-appropriate services that meet their individual and collective needs. In addition to participating in general prevention efforts, Action positive VIH/sida provides individual and group support

Action positive VIH/sida hosts office hours at PWA each Tuesday from 2:00pm – 5:00pm in our Community Liaison office and will help both agencies reach out to and support HIV+ French speaking Torontonians.

Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)
In order to reduce barriers and help to facilitate the complex system of government assistance programs, ODSP work at the PWA offices on a regular basis. Staff are able to build a strong relationship that helps facilitate the process and build capacity of both PWA staff and ODSP staff while PWA clients are able to receive in-depth support in a safe space and with respect.

Student Massage Clinics
Kikkawa, Humber, Everest and Trillium Colleges provide supervision to students in providing free massage at PWA for people living with HIV/AIDS as part of their student placement requirements.

Student Acupuncture Clinic
The Institute of Traditional Medicine provides supervision to students of acupuncture who provide free consultations and services to people living with HIV/AIDS as part of their student placement.
