Treatment Programs
High costs, complicated government systems, finding an HIV specialist - these are some of the barriers to life-saving medications that many people living with HIV/AIDS face. The Toronto People with AIDS Foundation (PWA) Treatment Access Program offers services to help break down barriers so people living with HIV/AIDS can get the medications they need.
Information about HIV treatment options is critical for people living with HIV/AIDS. The Toronto People with AIDS Foundation (PWA) Treatment Resources Program produces easy-to-read booklets, conduct workshops and provide confidential consultation about treatment options in person and over the phone. We also advocate with government agencies and drug companies to help improve medical care for people living with HIV/AIDS.
The POZ Prevention Program utilizes staff and peer educators to provide peer consultations, service provider trainer, and social group discussion around sexual health and Poz prevention.
