Purpose

Responding to issues related to HIV/AIDS can be complex, emotional and sometimes political or controversial. In some instances PWA has developed Position Papers that outline an official opinion or position related to key issues. These documents are developed through extensive research, discussion and input. They are intended to help communicate to all stakeholders an important and often controversial position that has been officially developed and endorsed by the agency at all levels including final approval by the Board of Directors. These positions then help the agency to frame our programs, services and responses based on the underlying position outlined in the paper.
